Skydiving Experience Days: Tandem skydiving in Nottingham is the ultimate mixture of adrenaline, sight seeing and accomplishing a dream you can tick off the bucket list. Jumping from 14,000ft not only provides incredible views of the East Midlands - but also gives you around 50 seconds of free fall! With an instructor attached to your back and in control of the jump, you'll be experiencing the most fantastic journey of your life after just 20 minutes of training!
Experience the rush of free fall and enjoy a skydive in Nottingham! Your tandem skydive experience in Nottingham will begin with a quick registration, before moving into the classroom to begin the theory. After a discussion with the instructor and a video brief, you'll move to the practice mats for a practical session in where to tuck your head and limbs throughout the jump - before donning the safety gear and making your way to the runway to get airborne! The instructor will strap your back to his chest and you'll take a seat in the Cessna Grand Caravan Turbine, before the first instructor opens the hatch and begins the skydiving at 14,000ft! When it's your turn, you'll shuffle up to the door, dangle your legs over the surreal landscape - and roll forward to begin 50 seconds of euphoric ecstasy as you descend 8,000ft in 50 seconds - at a speed of around 120mph! The instructor will then open the parachute at around 5,000ft and you'll enjoy a gentle 6-7 minutes of open canopied parachuting back to terra firma. Once landed, you'll remove the safety gear and be free to go home with an irremovable grin from ear to ear! You'll be presented with a certificate to commemorate the day you crossed off the most extreme activity off your bucket list.

Tandem Skydiving in Nottingham is available everyday throughout
the year, except Christmas Day.
Requirements
Minimum Age: 16
Maximum Weight: 15 Stone (fully clothed) for
those over 5"4 and 13 stone for those who are under. Your weight
must be in line with your height - If you have any concerns
regarding this, please call our office prior to purchasing.
Prior to the jump, all skydivers are required to complete a
BPA (British Parachute Association) medical declaration of health
form - which must be witnessed. For under 18s, this witness must be
a parent or guardian.
Please download the form, here.
Any jumpers who do not meet the conditions of the declaration of
health will be required to complete the BPA Request for Medical Advice form - this is to be signed by
your doctor prior to the jump. Failure to complete this will
prohibit you from skydiving.
If you are disabled this does not mean you cannot skydive!
£80 can be paid to the skydiving company directly on the day if you wish yous skydive to be filmed and photographed.

It is recommended that you allow a whole day for a tandemskydive in Nottingham.
The skydive experience will last for a bit less than an hour, with20 minutes of training, 20 minutes of flying up to 14,000ft - 50seconds of free fall and around 6-7 minutes of open canopiedparachuting back to earth. However, with the weather conditions onthe day, the time your flight is booked for and the amount of otherskydivers on the day; this will of course take longer.

Family and friends are welcome to watch your big day ofskydiving, and are encouraged to bring a camera to capture themoments of elation before and after the jump.
Langar Airfield has a clubhouse with bar and canteen facilities,serving refreshments, hot drinks, food and alcohol (forpost-skydiving!) throughout the day.
There is a maximum of 50 skydives a day for this skydivingexperience, so group bookings are possible. Usually, 2 - 4skydivers are lifted at one time in the same plane, but this isflexible and subject to availability.

Where is it Located
What to Wear
You can wear comfortable and casual clothes for your tandem
skydive in Nottingham, as you'll be wearing the safety equipment
provided by the British Parachute Schools.
This will include a jump suit, a cap, goggles and gloves - which
can be worn over the clothes you arrive in.
It is advisable to dress for the weather, as standing around at the
centre waiting for the jump can be very cold - and of course the
subzero temperature at 14,000ft make wrapping up warm a good idea.
In the summer months - shorts, T-shirts and sunglasses are
recommended.

Weather
Nottingham skydiving experiences are weather dependent - and are
subject to the East Midlands' conditions on the day.
If the wind, rain or snow conditions on the day are impairing the
vision of the ground from 14,000ft - you may need to wait around at
the Vale of Belvoir's Langar Airfield until it is clearer.
If the conditions on the day aren't going to clear, your skydive
will be rescheduled for a more convenient date.
