Tiger Moth Flight Dambusters Run

Fly the legendary Tiger Moth Bi-Plane and recreate your own rendition of the world famous Dambuster missions, flying the training route the RAF pilots completed in their preparation for what is still considered to be one of the aviation world's most daring operations. In an authentic WWII pilots uniform you will become part of the crew and take the controls of the Tiger Moth as you fly over the Derwent Dam.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre you will start by getting changed into the authentic WWII pilot's uniform and receive a full pre-flight briefing. Next, there will be a chance to pose for a picture in front of the spectacular 1940's Bi-Plane before climbing aboard and beginning the flight. Once safely up in the air and heading towards the dam, your pilot will hand the controls over to you as you make the famous run over the dam. Once you have landed back at the airfield, you will be presented with a certificate and the souvenir photo taken earlier.

Restrictions
Maximum Weight: 17.5 Stone
Minimum Age: 13
Please do not wear high heels.

Duration
The flight will last around an hour, but please allow around 2 hours at the centre.

What to Wear / Equipment
You will be kitted out in authentic World War 2 fighter pilots uniforms.
Please wear sensible shoes (no high heels).

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome to wave you of from the ground.

Weather
This experience can be affected by adverse weather. Please call the centre on the day to check your flight is going ahead.

Availability
The experience is available throughout the year from 9am until sunset.
