Take to the skies and fly one of most iconic planes of the last century, the awesome Tiger Moth Bi-plane. Playing a major role in both World War's, a dog fighter in WWI and spitfire training aircraft in WWII, the Tiger Moth has helped defend the shores of Blighty! You will be kitted out in authentic World War 2 pilot uniforms before strapping yourself into the open top cockpit and experiencing first-hand what it was like for the trainee spitfire pilots over 70 years ago! Up in the air, the pilot will hand the controls over to you and you will get the chance to to fly the aircraft yourself.

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre, your experience will begin with a full pre flight briefing covering the flight plan and the Tiger Moth itself. You will then be kitted up in authentic World War 2 fighter pilot uniforms even "Biggles" would be proud of! Once ready you will be strapped into the open cockpit and the experienced pilot will taxi out and take off and, once in the air you will be handed the controls and experience flying this great plane yourself. Once you have returned to base, you will be presented with a commemorative certificate of your day.

Restrictions
Maximum Weight: 17.5 Stone
Minimum Age: 13
Please do not wear high heels.

Duration
You will spend 20 minutes in the air, but please allow around an hour at the centre.

What to Wear / Equipment
You will be kitted out in authentic World War 2 fighter pilots uniforms.
Please wear sensible shoes (no high heels).

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome to wave you of from the ground.

Weather
This experience can be affected by adverse weather. Please call the centre on the day to check your flight is going ahead.

Flight are available most weekdays and weekends throughout the year.
