Experience Days Tours: Explore Glasgow’s vibrant and ever-expanding music scene with this 2 hour guided walking tour of Merchant City and the East End. Perfect for music fans and Glasgow locals looking to explore their city in a new light!
You’ll begin your tour by meeting your music buff guide outside a local bar, where they’ll introduce themselves to the group. Whether they’re a writer, performer, or just a well-informed superfan, one thing is for sure: your guide will be full of knowledge and interesting tidbits about your rock heroes and the hotbed of musical talent that is Glasgow. Once everyone is acquainted, your group will begin the tour. As you walk through the storied, historic streets of Glasgow, you’ll hear fascinating insights about its exciting venues and the artists who have performed there. Prestigious venues visited on this tour include the Barrowland Ballroom, and the Britannia Panopticon where legend of comedy Stan Laurel made his debut. If that’s not a legacy, we don’t know what is! Your guide, a true music fan, will take you off the beaten tourist path in order to explore what really makes Glasgow’s music scene tick. Glasgow has bred such talent as Billy Connolly, Primal Scream, Simple Minds and Franz Ferdinand. There’s a reason it is classed as a UNESCO City of Music!
This Glasgow Merchant City Music Walking Tour is the perfect experience gift for music fans, and a great way to explore the city.
