Off Road Experience Days: This wonderful half day off road experience in in Leicestershire
gives you the chance to learn to drive a 4x4 around a challenging,
fun, and fairly muddy driving course! 4x4 driving is a totally
different type of driving to the driving you do on-road, and with
this half day introduction you'll learn the tricks of 4x4 driving
under the tuition of a qualified 4x4 driving instructor.
Your driving experience takes place on a purpose-built driving
course at Rockingham Castle. The driving centre boasts over 250
acres of land as well as a 75 acre disused quarry, with four
separate driving tracks to challenge off road drivers of all
abilities. Your driving day begins with a briefing to cover safety
issues and driving techniques, and introduce you to the powerful
4x4 vehicles you'll be driving. After this, it's time to head out
onto the off road course! After your instructor gives you a quick
driving demo, it's your turn to take the wheel and see what these
marvellous machines can do! You'll have plenty of drive time to
really get to grips with the vehicle, while the vehicle gets to
grips with the challenging course! Take on the varied terrain and
put your skills to the test as you tackle steep climbs and
descents, river crossings and ditches, and all kinds of natural
obstacles, with your instructor beside you throughout to offer
tuition.
This is a fantastically enjoyable half day 4x4 experience, and a
perfect gift for anyone who wants to find out just what these
fabulous 4x4s are really capable of!Once you have arrived and been
welcomed to the centre your Half day Off Road Driving experience
will begin when you meet your instructor for the day and discuss
the plan for the day over coffee. Once briefed up it's time for a
safety brief and introduction to the vehicle you will be mastering,
before the instructor will show how it is done with a demo drive.
Then, with all of the knowledge and a burning desire to show you
can do it - it's over to you to practice what the instructor made
look easy...including tackling hills, climbs, descents, muddy
mounds, ruts, river crossings and even more technical sections! A
fantastically enjoyable full day 4x4 experience.

This experience is available 7 days a week, throughout the year - subject to availability and pre-booking.

Minimum Age: 17
Participants must hold a full UK Driving License.

This experience will last for 3 hours, morning session from09:00 and afternoon session from 13:00.

This experience is a private tuition however the driver isallowed a maximum of 2 spectators who are also welcome to drive ifthe main driver so wishes.
There is a charge for any spectators to participate or watchfrom within the 4x4 vehicle of £40 per person. This is payable to the provider directly upon booking.

What to Wear
Please wear weather proof clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Sturdy shoes or trainers are fine, but be prepared to get them a little dirty!

As long as the previous UK licenses are still valid then you should be fine. There is no requirement that you are currently using the driving licenses in the UK. As long as you hold a license valiud to drive in the EU then you are perfectly fine to take part in the Leicester off-road driving.
The Half Day Off Road Driving experience is a private tuition however the driver is allowed a maximum of 2 spectators who are also welcome to drive if the main driver so wishes.
There is a charge for any spectators to participate or watch from within the 4x4 vehicle of £40 per person.
Both the Discover and the Defender 110 are used for this 4x4 driving experience in Leicestershire.
