Supercar Experience Days: Get behind the wheel of a McLaren MP4-12C GT3 during this awesome 8 lap driving day near Hemel Hempstead—and experience its mind-boggling performance for yourself! The experience itself will consist of 4 sighting laps in a track-prepared sports saloon car.
The experience takes place at Bovingdon Airfield, Hertfordshire, and begins with a thirty-minute briefing. This will cover racing lines, throttle/braking technique, track safety and etiquette. Next, you’ll complete four sighting laps in a race prepared sports car in order to adjust to the car and track. These are followed by four tutored driving laps in the McLaren MP4-12C GT3, the car that thrust McLaren back into the GT racing limelight. This tuned and lightened version of the 12C road car features an aggressive aerodynamics package and F1-style ECU. Bought new, it’d cost you well over £300,000—worth every penny, as you’ll soon discover!

When can you book Hertfordshire 8-Lap McLaren MP4-12C GT3 Experience
This McLaren MP4-12C GT3 Experience is available throughout the year.
A new month's worth of dates are released at the beginning of each month.
Please note: Saturday date requests will incur an additional £35 surcharge which can be paid on booking.
**Unfortunately, due to a mechanical fault with the McLaren MP4-12C GT3, this experience is not available until further notice.**
Driving Requirements
Minimum Age: 17
Maximum Age: 80
Minimum Height: 5"
Maximum Height: 6"2
Maximum Weight: 18 stone
You must have a full, valid, manual driving license in order to take part in this experience. The centre is happy to accept international driving licences as long as they fit the requirements.
Drivers must be fit and healthy - this is a thrilling experience which will raise your heart-beat. If you have any health concerns relating to this experience, please check with a medical professional, prior to booking a date at the track.
Any participant entering a vehicle will be requested to complete a Disclaimer form upon arrival in order to participate in their experience.
An Optional Damage Liability Reduction will be available to purchase at an additional charge on the day of your experience.
(Instructors have the right to void the waiver if the driver is irresponsible or negligent).
Flat-soled shoes must be worn.
Glasses must be worn if needed.

Experience Duration: 1:30
Time Spent at Venue: 1:45
For the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 Experience, allow up to 90 minutes including driver safety briefing, 4 sighting laps and 4 laps of driving. Please expect to be at the centre for a little longer.

Drivers should wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothes with sensible flat shoes. All equipment is provided by the track.
Is This Activity Weather Dependent?
This experience will go ahead in most weather conditions and will only be effected by severe weather.
If this happens, your driving experience will be rescheduled to a suitable day. If you are unsure about the weather on the day of (or before) your experience, please contact the Hertfordshire driving centre directly to discuss.
