Skiing has had a real resurgence in recent years thanks mainly to both advances in equipment design and the proliferation of both indoor real snow slopes and new outdoor artificial slopes nationwide. The new breed of snow parks in the UK combined with the new ski shape have meant that ski freestyle and freeride skiing has become more accessible. With many ski centres now boasting kickers and sliders UK freestyle riders have been able to compete at the highest level internationally.
