During this full day experience you will get to drive the awesome Ford Escort RS2000 which dominated the world of competitive rallying in the late 70's and early 80's and is considered one of the great cars in the sports history. Rally driving is one of the most exciting sports in the world and Extreme Element are delighted to give you a chance to have a go. Usually reserved for those with a large bank balance rally driving is one of the ultimate high adrenalin activities. After a chance to practice handbrake turns and powerslides in a special area you will proceed to the 'special stage' where you will put your new skills to the test. With your pro rally driver instructor as your co-driver. This full day will really give you time to get to grips with rally driving and will finish with a white knuckle ride as your instructor takes the wheel for the final run through the special stages at competition speeds!

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering all aspects of the track and the cars that you are about to drive, as well as covering the basic principals and techniques of rally driving. You will shift over to the practice area where the instructor will teach you how to perform handbrake turns, power slides and pendulum techniques. This combines steering, braking, throttle control and car position. Next up on this Rally Intro will be the first of your runs through the special stages. Lunch is available to buy on the day. In the afternoon session, you will be monitored on points such as car control, balance, reactions & overall ability and will be assessed by means of timed special stage runs, taking into account both consistency and outright speed to determine the driver of the day! Your day will then take a new turn as the instructor takes control and shows you how it’s done in a white knuckle ride. The day will then come to a finish with a debrief, during which your instructor will summarise your progress and give advice on your performance. A trophy will be awarded to the driver with the best overall performance of the day, so give it your best!

Restrictions
All participants must have a Full UK Driving License. If you are extraordinarily tall or short, or feel that your physique may impair your enjoyment of this activity in any way, please call us before you purchase this experience.

Duration
This is a full day which you should allow 7.5 hours for. There will be a maximum of 5 pupils per car allowing individual tuition and plenty of 'hands on driving time'.

What to Wear / Equipment
You should dress for the weather and wear trainers. Helmet and all specialist equipment is provided by the centre.

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome.

Weather
This experience will only be affected by very extreme weather conditions; if in doubt please check with the centre before setting off.
