Kayaking has taken the extreme sports world by storm throughout recent years with its increasingly daring disciplines from surfing the waves to exploring white water rapids, so why not get involved and learn the basics to this exhilarating sport today! Take the plunge and have a go within a fun and friendly environment, once you have mastered the basic paddling techniques enjoy a range of games and challenges specially designed to improve your confidence and practice an array of essential skills!

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your experience will begin with a full safety briefing and introduction to kayaking. Learn the basics skills, including water safety procedures and paddling techniques before jumping in the water to have a go. Listen to the qualified instructor and develop your techniques ready for the challenges to begin. Enjoy practising your new found skills as you take part in a range of team games. Your experience will draw to a close with a de-brief back at the centre, including a discussion of the techniques learnt throughout the course.

Restrictions
Minimum Age: 8
Under 18's must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Please let the centre know if you are not confident within the water.
If you are extraordinarily tall or short, or feel that your physique may impair your enjoyment of this activity in any way, please check with the centre when booking.

Duration
This experience lasts approximately 1 hour.

What to Wear / Equipment
Please bring a swimsuit, towel, sun cream and a warm change of clothes to the centre.
All specialised equipment will be provided by the centre.

Group Size / Spectators
This experience is great for both individuals and groups alike.
Spectators welcome.
Please Note: This is a mixed adult and junior course.

This experience can be affected by extreme weather conditions. If in doubt, please contact the centre on the day to make sure it is going ahead.

Availability
The experience is available on selected dates throughout the year, normally weekend availability.
