Microlighting on the outskirts of Liverpool is a 'highly' recommended experience from us here at Extreme Element, as the glorious countryside of the West Lancashire based flying school covered whilst up in the air is second to none. The airfield is based just a couple of miles from the Lancashire coast and provides some stunning views of The Lake District, North Wales and of course Merseyside's award winning city of Liverpool! With this great 30 minute flight, you'll be on a scenic tour to remember flying over some truly remarkable sights; and if the weather & instructor permits - you may get chance to fly the historically designed flying machine yourself!

Agenda

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to Ince Blundell Airfield, your Mircolight experience will begin with a safety and introductory brief - covering the flying techniques and the essential protocols of flying a Microlight. Then, once briefed and ready - you'll hit the run way ready to be launched up into the air, where you'll reach a height of around 2,000ft and will become unavoidably stuck in the most spectacular of landscape viewpoints - with the country's contours and coastal edges proving quite remarkable sight as you soar through the skies at speeds of up to 70mph! Once the flight has finished and you are safely back on terra firma; you'll complete a post flight aircraft check and be presented with a certificate to commemorate the day.

Minimum Age: 14
Maximum Weight: 15-16.5 stone

Duration
Microlighting Trial Flight in Liverpool should last for around 2 hours, with somewhere near 20-30 minutes flying the Mircolight.

What to Wear / Equipment
The Liverpool based Microlight centre will provide all of the necessary safety and flying equipment.

You should wear old clothes that you don't getting a little roughed up and dirty. Layers are a good idea.

Dress for the weather, with sunglasses and suncream in the summer, and woollies in the winter!

Group Size / Spectators
Spectators are welcome to watch the start and finish of your memorable flight around Liverpool and West Lancashire, and are encouraged to bring cameras.

There is however a no-pets-allowed rule in operation at the airport, and under 18s must be accompanied by a non-participating adult.

Weather
Microlight flying is of course a weather dependent activity.

Customers should call the centre for a weather check on the morning of their flight, (between 9-9.30am), or the evening before (between 7pm and 9pm) whatever the forecast.

Availability
Microlight Flying at Liverpool's closest airfield is available on selected weekdays and weekends from February to November.
