Powerboat Taster Session

Experience the unique thrill of a high speed tour of the Solent in a genuine offshore powerboat. Hold on tight as your highly experienced instructor takes the boat to the limit completing our offshore circuit. Feel the grace and pace of these racing thoroughbreds.

Agenda

Your experience will begin in Southampton with a safety briefing. You will then be provided with offshore racing jacket and life jacket and escorted to the waiting powerboat. After a short cruise down the river the driver will open up the throttle and you will the flying across the waves. This unique experience includes a demonstration of wave jumping, high speed cornering, racing lines and starts. Then you have 2 laps behind the wheel on our circuit to put it to the test.

Restrictions
Maximum weight is 17 stone. All participants are required to sign a disclaimer. Minimum age 12 but under 18's must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Duration
Allow one and a half hours total for your experience. There will be between one and four others taking part in the session.

What to Wear / Equipment
You will be provided with a water proof jacket but we suggest you wear a t-shirt, jeans and soft shoes or trainers. Please also bring sun glasses, suntan lotion and a sweat shirt. There is not a requirement to

Group Size / Spectators
Friends and family are welcome to come and watch you leave the venue they can the relax and have a drink or something to eat. There are toilets, changing areas and catering facilities on site. Dogs and children are welcome!

Weather
This experience will be affected by adverse weather conditions; if in doubt please check with the centre before setting off.

This experience is on selected weekend dates from May to October.
