Boat Tours Experience Days: Take a scenic boat ride along Coniston Water, and see Wild Cat Island as made famous by the film and book Swallows and Amazons. You can hop on and off the boat throughout the day, or just sit back and relax for an hour and enjoy the whole journey.
Your boat ride begins at Coniston Boat Landings, where you’ll board your comfortable vessel for the journey ahead. Get settled in, and admire the scenery, looking out at the sparkling blue water and magnificent green hills surrounding you. Setting off, the boat will trundle along Coniston Water at a relaxing pace, stopping regularly at points of interest including Torver, Sunny Bank and Brantwood. It’s up to you whether you opt to hop off and explore, or remain on board for the duration of the trip. If you choose to disembark at Brantwood, you’ll have the opportunity to see the former home of the Victorian polymath John Ruskin, whose legacy still lives on today. Of course, don't forget to keep an eye out for the trip's main focus: the famous Wild Cat Island! Your route will eventually turn around and take you back to Coniston Boat Landings, after a peaceful journey full of natural beauty.

You must be at least 16 years old to take part in the Cumbria cruises.
Friendly dogs are welcome on board.
Unfortunately, the lake cruises are not wheelchair accessible.
